About

The PROMYS Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to nurturing mathematical talent globally. It supports the Program in Mathematics for Young Scientists (PROMYS), a rigorous six-week residential summer program for gifted high school students. The Foundation's mission is to ensure that every student who can benefit from PROMYS has the opportunity to do so, regardless of financial need, by providing scholarships and raising funds. In India, the PROMYS Foundation partners with the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in Bengaluru to offer PROMYS India, a program closely modeled on the original PROMYS at Boston University. This program provides a challenging and immersive environment where students engage in deep mathematical exploration, problem-solving, and discovery, fostering independent thinking and a love for mathematics. All students accepted to PROMYS India receive full scholarships covering tuition, housing, and meals, thanks to generous sponsors and donors.
