The Skate Academy is a Mumbai-based roller and inline skating academy founded in 1991, providing structured training for all skill levels from absolute beginners to national- and world-ranked competitive skaters. It describes itself as one of Mumbai's most recognised inline skating academies. The academy delivers classes at multiple school and ground venues across Mumbai, organised into progressive beginner, intermediate, and advanced programmes that blend speed, freestyle, and artistic skating tailored to each student's interests. Training is sold in session packages, with weekly and weekend batches. The academy is founded and led by Ajay Shivlani, described as India's first International Certified Skating Examiner and a skating world-record holder, whose coaching career is said to have inspired a Hindi feature film. His students have gone on to achieve world rankings in freestyle skating.
