About

Vijnana Bharati (VIBHA) is a dynamic national science movement dedicated to promoting scientific temper and innovation with a Swadeshi spirit. Founded in 1991, VIBHA bridges traditional Indian knowledge with modern science to address national challenges and foster scientific literacy across India. It operates through units in 22 states and has a presence in 4 additional states, engaging in 11 different areas including education, health, and technology. VIBHA organizes large-scale events like the India International Science Festival (IISF) and conducts national programs such as Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM), India's largest online science talent search exam. The organization aims to rejuvenate the Swadeshi Movement in the age of science and technology, promote Bharatiya heritage through a synthesis of physical and spiritual sciences, and work towards developing common scientific terminology for all Indian languages. VIBHA also focuses on initiatives like women's empowerment through science (Shakti), Ayurveda promotion (NASYA, World Ayurveda Foundation), waste management (IIWM), and connecting technology with social service (Tech4Seva). VIBHA's mission is to link traditional and modern sciences and promote scientific research and awareness aligned with India's heritage.
