Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum is a science and technology museum established in memory of Bharat Ratna Sir M. Visvesvaraya. It functions as a constituent unit of the National Council of Science Museums under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. The museum operates multiple thematic galleries spanning engines, electronics, biotechnology, space technology, and interactive science exhibits. It serves school students, educators, and the general public with year-round outreach programmes. Programmes include the Summer Vacation Hobby Courses, Idea Lab, Creative Ability Centre, Science Drama Competition, Southern India Science Fair, Sky Observation, and the Mobile Science Exhibition. Teacher training and popular science lectures supplement the public engagement calendar. The institution coordinates satellite science centres in Tirunelveli, Kalaburagi, Tirupati, and Calicut, extending its reach across southern India.
