World Association of Chefs Societies (Worldchefs)

The World Association of Chefs Societies, known as Worldchefs, is the global federation of national chef associations and culinary professionals, founded in 1928 at the Sorbonne in Paris. The organisation represents more than 230 member national associations, education partners, and industry allies across over 100 nations, making it the foremost international authority on culinary standards and professional development. Worldchefs is dedicated to maintaining and improving culinary standards through education, training, certification, and professional development. Its initiatives span global culinary certification programmes, the biennial Worldchefs Congress and Expo, the Global Chefs Challenge competition, the Feed the Planet sustainability initiative, and World Chefs Without Borders humanitarian programmes. Worldchefs Academy, the organisation's digital learning platform, was developed in partnership with Nestle Professional to provide free foundational culinary education to aspiring chefs worldwide. The academy offers courses in multiple languages including English, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Italian, German, Mandarin, and Hindi, making professional culinary knowledge accessible globally regardless of geography or economic background.
