About this opportunity
The NextGen Edu Scholarship Program supports meritorious students from economically underprivileged families who are transitioning from Class 10 into Class 11. The programme is structured as a merit-cum-means scholarship designed to reduce dropout risk at a critical academic transition and to ensure that promising students can continue their schooling without disruption.
Eligible applicants must be currently enrolled in Class 11 at a government or private school in India, must have scored at least sixty percent in their Class 10 board examinations, and must come from families with an annual income not exceeding three lakh rupees. The programme gives priority to applicants from Karnataka, Delhi NCR, Maharashtra, Telangana, West Bengal, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu, and actively encourages applications from girls, single-parent children, transgender applicants, orphans, and persons with disabilities.
Selected scholars receive a financial award of fifteen thousand rupees, intended to cover academic and basic living expenses such as tuition fees, books, study materials, examination fees, and stationery during the Class 11 academic year. The award is disbursed directly to the beneficiary's bank account after document verification.
Applications are accepted online through the Buddy4Study portal. The process involves an eligibility self-check, completion of the application form, upload of supporting documents including the Class 10 marksheet, address proof, family income proof, admission proof, and bank details, and final submission. Shortlisted candidates may be contacted for verification before disbursement.
