This quiz aims to develop students' interest in astronomy through practical exposure and make learning science enjoyable. It serves as a platform for youngsters aspiring to careers in space technology.
Students from Class 6 to Class 9, inclusive, from any school in Madhya Pradesh are eligible to participate. This also includes students who are homeschooled within the specified class range and permanently reside in Madhya Pradesh. There is no entry fee for participation in this quiz.
The competition consists of an online preliminary test followed by a practical examination. Selected participants from the preliminary test will receive free training in telescope operation, sky reading, and practical astronomy at the Bhopal Centre, with free lodging and boarding for night camps. Final winners are selected based on their overall performance in both stages.
Winners of the quiz will have the unique opportunity to visit observatories of their choice across India, such as Dongla, Kavalur, Kodaikanal, Nainital, Udaipur, and Mount Abu. These trips are fully arranged and sponsored by the Aryabhat Foundation, providing an immersive learning experience.
