About This Opportunity

The Chola Chess Free Grandmaster Chess Training Camps offer fully free, FIDE-rated chess training to promising young Indian players, taught by Grandmaster and International Master coaches.

The camps are selective: places go to the strongest nationally ranked or rated players, organised into batches by FIDE rating from around 1400 up to Grandmaster level. Each camp runs as a five to seven day residential programme in Chennai, followed by free online coaching.

Beyond the board, the camps build mental strength, fitness, communication and nutrition habits, developing the whole player. Training is led by Grandmaster R. B. Ramesh and Woman Grandmaster Aarthie Ramaswamy alongside visiting Grandmaster trainers.

The programme is designed as a structured pathway, helping selected players progress toward strong national and international competition while removing the cost barrier to elite coaching.
