Rules and guidelines
- The medium of the exam is English.
- The exam must be taken on web-enabled devices like laptops, tablets, or desktops with webcams; mobile devices are not allowed.
- For students of Class 1, a parent or teacher can assist with guiding them through the questions.
- Students can attempt a free trial before the actual exam.
- The examination will be conducted exclusively in English.
- Students are encouraged to attempt a free trial test available on the platform before the actual examination.

- Stable internet connectivity (minimum 2 Mbps).
- Latest version of a web browser (preferably Google Chrome).

Fees and financial support
Fee details
The examination fee is INR 225 for students studying and enrolling from India. For students studying and residing outside of India, the fee is USD 15. Registration through schools for Indian students is free. Fees once paid are non-refundable.

Rounds and format
The competition consists of two levels. Level 1 is open to all eligible candidates. Students who meet the minimum qualifying criteria in Level 1 will proceed to Level 2. Specific dates for Level 1 and Level 2 exams are announced annually.

Participants are judged on their ability to solve multiple-choice questions accurately and quickly. The exam assesses logical skills, aptitude, and the ability to perform mathematical operations without a calculator. There is no negative marking since 2025.

Selection for Level 2 is based on meeting the minimum qualifying criteria in the Level 1 examination.
