About This Opportunity
The Dhirubhai Ambani International Model United Nations (DAIMUN) is a student-led conference that simulates the real United Nations. It brings together students from across India and internationally, who assume roles as ambassadors representing various nations. The conference is built upon core principles of diplomacy, equality, and self-expression, fostering an environment for youth to engage with global issues.
Participants will debate, draft resolutions, and negotiate on critical global challenges over three and a half days. This experience is designed to enhance confidence, deepen understanding of the interconnected world, and sharpen debating skills. DAIMUN has been affiliated with The Hague International Model United Nations (THIMUN) since 2006, making it the first conference in the Indian subcontinent to achieve this prestigious affiliation.
The conference structure closely mirrors that of THIMUN, with all proceedings managed and chaired by students. The opening ceremony often includes panel discussions with real-world diplomats, providing students with unique opportunities for active engagement and debate. This event is a significant platform for aspiring leaders to develop a global perspective and commitment to excellence.
