About this opportunity
Ek Prithvi is WWF India's whole-school environment education programme that builds conservation leadership among students in government schools. Launched in 2016, it has reached more than 145,200 students in over 200 schools across 11 Indian states.
The programme is implemented in partnership with the respective state education departments in select government schools, and engages the whole school, students, teachers and the school estate, through a structured, guided journey linking learning with real conservation action.
Participating schools receive interactive Student Workbooks for Classes 1 to 12, Teacher Resource Books for Classes 1 to 8, and a Trainer's Manual, alongside structured training for teachers and master trainers. Some model schools also set up dedicated Activity Rooms as hubs for ongoing environmental education activities.
The approach focuses on building students' knowledge, skills and action competence to adopt pro-conservation attitudes and sustainable lifestyle choices, embedding environmental education into the school system rather than treating it as a one-off activity.

Currently active in select states including Assam, Telangana, Delhi, Ladakh and Uttarakhand; private schools and non-partner states are outside its current reach.
