About This Opportunity

The European Summer Program on Rationality (ESPR) is a comprehensive 10-day immersive summer camp designed for mathematically talented students who are eager to understand themselves and the world through applied rationality. The program focuses on how to work things out and make good decisions, offering a unique learning experience in a collaborative environment. It is organized by FABRIC, a non-profit educational organization based in Prague, Czechia.

The curriculum covers a diverse range of topics including information theory, cryptography, communication skills, game theory, judgment under uncertainty, and AI safety. Participants will hone rigorous, quantitative skills and acquire a versatile toolbox of concepts and practical techniques applicable in various aspects of life. The program also encourages participants to design and run their own content, fostering creativity and leadership.

ESPR is delivered in-person at a stay-on-site venue in the United Kingdom, typically a country mansion surrounded by English countryside. The program emphasizes interaction among participants and the enriching atmosphere, which alumni often highlight as its most valuable aspect. Renowned intellectuals have participated as speakers in past sessions, enriching the learning experience with diverse perspectives.
