About This Opportunity
The Greenheart Travel High School Abroad Program offers students a fully immersive exchange experience in one of 17 countries worldwide. Participants live with volunteer host families and attend local high schools for a trimester, semester, or full academic year, gaining language fluency and cultural understanding through daily immersion.
Students aged 14 to 18 with a minimum 2.75 GPA are eligible, with at least two years of instruction in the destination language recommended. The program is open to participants from over 60 countries, and destinations include Argentina, Australia, Costa Rica, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Sweden, and several others.
Participants develop confidence, independence, and a global perspective that significantly strengthens university applications. Comprehensive medical and accident insurance, host family accommodation with three meals daily, tuition, pre-departure orientation, and a personal program manager are included in the program fee.
Scholarships including the First Time Traveler Scholarship of up to $14,000 and Farther Foundation Grants of up to $5,000 are available to eligible students, making the program accessible to a wider range of participants.
