About This Opportunity

GYS Avishkar Awards is a prestigious national science project competition for students from classes 6 to 12. The competition's main goal is to discover, support, and promote innovative ideas that can positively impact society and have commercial potential. It provides a national platform for young students to showcase their scientific talents and encourages a culture of creative and rational thinking.

Participation is open to students from all school types across India, including Government, Aided, and Private schools. Students can submit projects individually or in a team of two. A unique feature is that the awards also recognize and reward the guide teachers who mentor the winning projects, fostering a collaborative spirit of innovation. The competition is held entirely online, making it accessible to students nationwide.

Eligibility: Open to students in grades 6-12 from any school across India. Requirements: Projects must be original, low-cost (under ₹5,000), and guided by a teacher. Participation can be individual or in a team of two.
