About this opportunity
The IITB Makerspace Summer Workshop is a nine-day, day-scholar programme at IIT Bombay where students in Grades 8 to 12 build a functional autonomous robot using mechanical fabrication, electronics, and programming.
The workshop progresses through mechanical prototyping with 3D printing, laser cutting, and CAD design, then electronics and IoT development involving microcontroller programming and sensor integration, and finally autonomous systems and smart feature development.
Participants work inside IIT Bombay's Makerspace Lab under faculty guidance, with access to the lab's prototyping, electrical design, and fabrication equipment throughout the workshop. The workshop concludes with a project exhibition where participants showcase their completed robot prototypes.
The workshop is a day-scholar format with no overnight stay included, and participants receive an IIT Bombay Educational Outreach certificate on completion.

Fee details
Early bird fee is INR 35,400, made up of INR 30,000 plus 18 percent GST, applicable for registration completed by May 11, 2026 and payment by May 13, 2026. Late fee is INR 44,250, made up of INR 37,500 plus 18 percent GST, applicable for registration by May 25, 2026 and payment by May 27, 2026.
