About This Opportunity
The India STEM Innovation Challenge (ISIC) Medior STEM Innovator category is a national-level STEM competition organized by India STEM Mission for students between the ages of 13 and 16. The challenge tasks participants with designing and building original solutions to real-world problems using STEM concepts, with a focus on innovation, engineering, and practical application.
The competition follows a three-round format: an initial submission round, a semi-final evaluation, and a national final held in New Delhi. Students may compete individually or in teams of up to five members. Projects are evaluated on criteria including innovation, technical merit, feasibility, presentation quality, and social impact. Judging is supported by All India Council for Robotics & Automation (AICRA), which also provides recognition to winning teams.
Top performers at the national final held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi receive cash prizes, trophies, and certificates recognized by AICRA. The competition is open to school students across India, with online submission and evaluation components for the preliminary rounds and an in-person final for selected teams.
India STEM Mission's ISIC operates alongside separate Junior (ages 7-12) and Senior (ages 17 and above) categories, forming a comprehensive STEM innovation ladder for school-aged participants.
