About This Opportunity

The Indian Robotics Olympiad (IRO) ROBO Adventures Innovators online competition is the online category of a national robotics contest organised by ROBO-G for young children. It allows participants to take part remotely by submitting a video of their robot completing a set of missions.

The competition is open to children aged 7 to 10 years, who can take part individually or in teams of two supported by a coach. Each edition follows a themed challenge, and participants build a robot to complete missions on a printed challenge mat.

Children build their robot using the Arduino Alvik kit and program it with mBlock software. They record a single continuous video of the robot run and submit it online along with a completed score sheet, where it is scored out of 100 points.

The online competition is evaluated separately from the in-person national event. All participants receive a graded medal certificate based on their score, helping young learners build robotics, coding and problem-solving skills.
