About this opportunity
The Junior National Kabaddi Championship for boys is the Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India national event for its age group. AKFI runs the boys' championship as its own tournament: it has its own circular, its own host state, its own dates and its own weight limit, and it is not played alongside the other section.
A player must be below 20 years of age on the last day of the event and must weigh 75 kg and below. Each affiliated State or Union Territory enters one team of 14 players, and AKFI directs that a team may only include players of that State or UT. Matches are played on mats and every player must wear playing shoes.
Entry is not something a family files. The State or UT kabaddi association selects the squad and submits the entry form online, and the player must hold an online AKFI registration number and identity card before that. A printed copy of the entry form travels to the venue, and a physical Aadhaar card is checked at the weighing.
The 52nd edition is allotted to Bihar State Kabaddi Association and is played at Patliputra Sports Complex, Patna, Bihar, from 1 November 2026 to 4 November 2026. The organising committee provides free boarding, lodging and local transport to the participating teams and officials. Teams wear colour coordinated uniforms with chest numbers and carry their State or UT flag for the march past.

Open to boys who are below 20 years of age on the last day of the championship and whose body weight is 75 kg and below. Players are picked by their own State or UT kabaddi association affiliated to AKFI, which may enter one team of 14, and AKFI requires that a squad contain players of that State or UT only. An online AKFI player registration and identity card is compulsory.

Rounds & format
Teams are drawn into pools and play pool matches, after which the leading teams go into knockout rounds to decide the title. All matches are played on mats under AKFI rules, and the weighing is held before a team plays.

Matches are decided on points scored through raids and tackles under AKFI rules, with the higher score at full time taking the match and the tie-breaking procedure applied in a knockout tie.
