About This Opportunity
The Kalaripayattu Holiday Training Camps at Kadathanadan Kalari Sangam are intensive one-month programmes held during school holiday periods. Designed for school and college students, the camps deliver a structured introduction to Kalaripayattu through morning and evening sessions of three hours each on the school's organic farm campus in Wayanad, Kerala.
Over the month, participants build foundational Kalaripayattu skills including basic self-defence movements, introductory body forms, and initial work with wooden weapons such as the muchan (short stick) and kettukari (long stick). The intensive daily schedule allows substantial progress across the holiday period.
The camps take place at the Sangam's campus near the Kabani River in Mananthavady, Wayanad. Accommodation and homecooked Kerala-style meals from the farm are available for participants travelling from outside Wayanad.
Students from across India and abroad are welcome. Camps are suited to school holiday periods including summer, Onam, and winter breaks.
