About This Opportunity
The Kishore Sabha is a key component of the National Youth Parliament Scheme (NYPS) 2.0, an initiative by the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, Government of India. This program is specifically designed for students in Class IX to Class XII from recognized educational institutions across the country. It provides a unique platform for young individuals to engage in simulated parliamentary discussions and debates on various national issues.
Participation is open to all recognized educational institutions in India. Schools must register through the Youth Parliament portal using the Aadhaar credentials of their Principal or Head. Students are selected by their respective schools with the approval of the principal.
Participants gain a deeper understanding of parliamentary procedures, democratic values, and governance. The program aims to strengthen the roots of democracy, inculcate discipline, and promote tolerance of diverse viewpoints. Students also develop public speaking, critical thinking, and leadership skills.
Upon successful completion and verification of the Youth Parliament sitting, participating students receive a digital Certificate of Participation. Teachers-in-charge and heads of institutions also receive a digital Certificate of Appreciation.
