About this opportunity
The Knowledge Quest Quiz is a national general knowledge competition for school students, organized by S Chand Publishing, in which two-member teams compete across themed quiz rounds.
Participation is open to students of Classes 6 to 8 from schools across India, with each school nominating one team of two students. Entries are accepted only through schools, which appoint a coordinating teacher to manage the team's participation, on a first-come, first-served basis.
The competition unfolds over three stages: an online qualifying round, an online semi-final, and a live on-stage championship round for the top-scoring teams. Winning teams receive prize vouchers, the National Champion title, and a trophy, while semi-finalist teams earn a certificate of participation.
Questions are set and moderated by dedicated quiz masters and span wide-ranging general knowledge themes such as nature, science and technology, history, language and literature, sports, India, and world affairs, rather than a single school subject.

Winning teams receive Amazon gift vouchers along with the Knowledge Quest Quiz National Champion title; runner-up teams are also felicitated. Rounds & format
The competition runs in three stages. The qualifying round is a timed online quiz conducted over video call, with the top-scoring teams from each group advancing to an online semi-final. The highest-scoring semi-final teams then compete in a live, on-stage championship round to determine the final rankings.
How entries are judged
Teams are scored on the number of correct answers given within the allotted time for each round; higher cumulative scores determine advancement from the qualifying round through the semi-final to the championship round.
Selection process
Teams advance to the next round based on their quiz score at each stage: the top two teams from each qualifying group move to the semi-final, and the two highest-scoring semi-final teams from each group advance to the on-stage championship round.
