How to apply

About this opportunity
The National School Games Gymnastics U-14 Boys and Girls Championship is the apex inter-state school gymnastics competition for the under-14 age category, conducted by the School Games Federation of India as part of the National School Games calendar. Boys and girls compete in artistic gymnastics across the standard apparatus events under SGFI rules adapted from Federation International de Gymnastics playing conditions.
Participation is open to bona fide school students studying between Class 6 and Class 12 in a recognised school, and nominated by their respective State School Games Federation through district and state-level qualification meets. Entries are routed through state federations rather than directly by individual schools or athletes.
Gymnasts compete in individual all-around and apparatus finals, and contribute to a team score for their state. Top performers receive medals, merit certificates, and pathway recognition for selection into India contingents at higher school sport events.
Host state and dates rotate every year as published in the annual SGFI National School Games calendar.

The championship involves a single national-level competition with individual all-around, apparatus finals, and team scoring. Prior qualification occurs at district and state levels.
How entries are judged
Gymnasts are judged based on SGFI rules, which are adapted from Federation Internationale de Gymnastique (FIG) playing conditions. Evaluation includes execution, difficulty, and artistry of routines on various apparatus.
Selection process
Selection is based on performance in school, district, and state-level qualification meets. Only gymnasts nominated by their respective State School Games Federation are eligible to compete at the national level.
