Eligibility
The National Standard Examination in Chemistry (NSEC) is open to Indian students in Class 11 or 12. Candidates must not have completed Class 12 before November 30 or enrolled in a university before June 1 of the exam year. A valid Indian passport and study in India since the previous November 30 are required. There are no financial or gender-based restrictions.

Rules and guidelines
- Students are allowed to take away the question paper after the exam.
- The NSEC examination consists solely of multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
