About This Opportunity
The Prakash Padukone Badminton Academy High-Performance Training Program is a full-time, residential elite badminton programme recognised as a National Centre of Excellence, training selected players on a merit scholarship at the academy's Bengaluru campus.
Founded in 1994 by Prakash Padukone and Vimal Kumar, the academy provides long-term residential coaching to players of national and international standard, combining technical training, fitness and conditioning, sports psychology and nutrition with sports-science support. Admission is strictly merit-based through selection trials assessing footwork and fitness.
Selected players train on a highly subsidised, scholarship basis, with the National Centre of Excellence scholarship covering coaching, boarding and lodging, kit, competition exposure and educational support per scheme norms. The academy has produced Olympians and international medallists in badminton.
