Open to children of construction workers registered with the Board, Grade 1 to 12 and higher education, a maximum of two per registered worker. Age on 1 July each year is checked by Grade: Grades 1 and 2, 6 to 8 years maximum; Grades 3 to 5, 8 to 11; Grades 6 to 8, 11 to 14; Grades 9 to 12, 14 to 18; graduation and postgraduation, 18 to 25; MBBS and postgraduate medical degrees or diplomas at government institutions, research, IIM, IIT, NIT, NIFT and National Law Universities, 25 to 35.

Extra for 70% marks in the High School and Intermediate examinations with admission to the next Grade or year of study: ₹5,000 for boys, ₹8,000 for girls. Extra for 60% marks in graduation and postgraduation examinations with admission to the next year of study: ₹10,000 for boys, ₹12,000 for girls; the admission condition does not apply on passing the postgraduate degree.

Rules and guidelines
- A maximum of two children of a registered worker get the benefit
- A student who fails the annual examination and applies again for the same Grade or year of study, for which the benefit was already taken, is not eligible for the scholarship
- A professional course counts only if the student passed a national or state level entrance examination and took admission
- No benefit is payable if the worker receives a similar scheme benefit from the State or Central Government
About this opportunity
The Sant Ravidas Shiksha Protsahan Yojana is an education incentive scheme of the Uttar Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board for the children of construction workers registered with the Board. It replaced the Board's earlier Sant Ravidas Shiksha Sahayata Yojana.
A registered worker's child gets a lump sum: Grades 1 to 5, ₹2,000; Grades 6 to 10, ₹2,500; Grades 11 and 12, ₹3,000. A student who passes the High School and Intermediate examinations with 70% marks and is admitted to the next Grade or year of study gets an extra ₹5,000 (boys) or ₹8,000 (girls). After passing Grade 9, 10, 11 or 12 and being admitted to the next Grade, a student gets a one-time subsidy to buy a bicycle for going to school.
Higher education is covered too: ₹12,000 for graduation, ITI, polytechnic and vocational courses; ₹24,000 for postgraduate degrees; ₹1,00,000 for research; the lower of the course fee and ₹60,000 for professional degree courses of 2 years or more; and 100% reimbursement of the fee for MBBS and postgraduate medical degrees or diplomas at government institutions and for IIM, IIT, NIT, NIFT and National Law University study.

For Grades 9 to 12, vouchers or bills are countersigned by the school principal.
Is there anything extra for marks or a bicycle?
A student who passes the High School and Intermediate examinations with 70% marks and is admitted to the next Grade or year of study gets an extra ₹5,000 (boys) or ₹8,000 (girls).
