Eligibility
Open to secondary school students worldwide, including students in India, who completed the paper before finishing secondary school and have not yet enrolled in a college or university. Public school, private school and home school students are all eligible. The paper must be in English and written by a single author, and may not have been published before except in a publication of the author's own secondary school.

Students published in the journal during the previous academic year are considered for the Emerson Prize, which carries $1,000 for each recipient. One published author each year also receives the Fitzhugh Prize of $5,000. Both awards are decided after publication and require no separate application.

Submitting an essay costs USD 90 with a one-year subscription to the eBook edition, USD 120 with the print edition delivered in the US, or USD 150 with the print edition delivered outside the US. About this opportunity
The Concord Review is a quarterly academic journal that publishes exemplary history research papers written by secondary school students from around the world. Students submit a completed paper for editorial review, and the strongest work appears in print.
Any student who completed the paper before finishing secondary school and has not yet enrolled in a college or university may submit. Papers must be in English, written by a sole author, and may cover any historical topic, ancient or modern, domestic or foreign. Selection is demanding, and about five percent of submitted essays are published.
