About This Opportunity

THIMUN Singapore is an annual international Model United Nations simulation conference held each October at the International French School in Singapore, organised by the THIMUN Foundation. Established in 2004 as an official sister conference to THIMUN The Hague, it brings together secondary school students as delegates representing countries in UN-modelled committees including General Assembly, Security Council, ECOSOC, and specialised bodies.

Participation is school-based: schools register as delegations of 3 to 7 students with a MUN Director. New schools submit a Letter of Intent to singapore@thimun.org by end of April; returning schools receive automatic invitations and register via MUNIS.

Delegates develop advanced public speaking, negotiation, and resolution-drafting skills by representing country positions through lobbying, formal debate, and voting under THIMUN Rules of Procedure. THIMUN is widely recognised as the world standard for Model UN procedure, and sustained participation carries significant recognition with international universities.

Singapore's proximity to India (approximately 4-hour flight from major Indian cities) and THIMUN's visa support letter make this one of the most accessible international MUN conferences for Indian schools.
