About This Opportunity
The VIT Mathematical Talent Examination is a prestigious annual competition organized by the Department of Mathematics, School of Advanced Sciences, VIT, Vellore. This event aims to foster mathematical creativity and innovation among young minds at the school level, providing a platform for students to challenge themselves and apply their knowledge. It is part of the larger VIT Mathematical Meet, which also includes team events like the Mathematical Quiz, Mathematical Model Exhibition, and Mathematical Poster Presentation.
This examination is open to students from Class VI to XII, divided into three levels: Level I (Classes VI–VIII), Level II (Classes IX–X), and Level III (Classes XI–XII). Participants will compete individually in a written test, with separate examinations conducted for Tamil and English medium students. Students must be able to report in person at VIT, Vellore, Tamil Nadu.
Winners receive cash awards and merit certificates, with consolation prizes for competent participants. The competition encourages students to develop a lasting passion for mathematics, enhance their competitive skills, and learn to manage pressure effectively, preparing them for future academic and career challenges. Total prizes worth ₹1,00,000 and more are awarded across all events in the VIT Mathematical Meet.
To participate, download the registration form from the event website, fill it, and submit it along with the online payment receipt by courier, post, or scanned email copy. Spot registration is not permitted. This examination focuses on topics relevant to each standard level, promoting a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts.
