The WRC Fastest Line Follower competition is open to students aged 8 to 16 for the Junior Category, and to college/university students and individuals of any age for the Open for All category. How to apply
- 1Register your RoboClub or Institute as a TechnoXian RoboClub online at the official TechnoXian website. If you do not have a club, you may form a new TX RoboClub with a minimum of 5 members.
- 2Select the Fastest Line Follower Challenge category from the competition list in your login panel and apply, selecting participating members from your club.
- 3Construct a wireless autonomous robot; ready-made bots are not allowed. Only self-made or TechnoXian listed DIY kits can be used.
- 4Prepare a video (1-5 minutes, maximum 100 MB) showcasing team readiness, creativity, and passion to participate in TechnoXian. Share the video via email or WhatsApp mentioning your WRC ID.
Rules and guidelines
- The robot must be wireless and autonomous.
- The robot must fit inside a box of 20cm length, 20cm width, and 20cm height at all times.
- Maximum robot weight should not exceed 5 kg, including the battery, with a 5% tolerance.
- The robot must follow the black line on a white surface track.
- Robots must not produce magnetic interference for other robots on the field.
- Communication between the robot and external devices (laptops, Bluetooth, RF modules) is strictly prohibited during the competition.
- The electric voltage anywhere in the machine should not be more than 16.8V DC at any point in time for each robot.
- Robots must be constructed and programmed to move in all directions, not limited to one.
- Participants are allowed to restart a run if the robot loses the line, stops halfway, or loses direction. The robot must be repositioned at the start point for a restart.
- Reprogramming or adding/removing parts during a run is not allowed, but adjusting sensors is permissible with referee consent.
