About This Opportunity

Young Reporters for the Environment (YRE) India is a national program that empowers young people aged 11 to 25 to investigate and report on local environmental issues. Participants develop journalistic skills by creating articles, photographs, or videos that highlight environmental challenges and propose solutions, fostering environmental awareness and active citizenship.

This competition is open to students and young adults across India, divided into three age categories. Participants gain valuable skills in research, critical thinking, communication, and environmental advocacy, with top entries receiving national recognition and the opportunity to represent India internationally.
