Established in 1934, BAI is dedicated to promoting, organizing, and developing the sport across the country, from grassroots to elite levels. It conducts national-level tournaments, manages national teams, and implements comprehensive development programs like 'Shuttle Time' to nurture young talent. Affiliated with the Badminton World Federation (BWF) and Badminton Asia, BAI plays a crucial role in India's success on the international badminton stage, fostering world-class players and coaches. BAI is registered under the Society's Act and works closely with the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) and the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, to advance badminton in the nation.
