About
Code.org is a public 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2013 by twin brothers Hadi and Ali Partovi. The organization works to make computer science and artificial intelligence part of every student's core K-12 education. It offers free, open-source curriculum, the Code Studio platform, and teacher professional learning across primary, middle, and high school levels. Materials are translated into more than 45 languages and used by educators in over 180 countries. Code.org is best known for launching the Hour of Code campaign, an annual global initiative held during Computer Science Education Week. The organization also co-founded the K-12 Computer Science Framework and the TeachAI coalition.
