The School of Professional Studies (SPS) is one of the seventeen schools affiliated with Columbia University, at 2970 Broadway, New York. It offers applied professional master's degrees, certificates and Certifications of Professional Achievement; courses for graduate school preparation, professional advancement or personal enrichment; and programs for graduate school or college preparation. Its Pre-College programs for high school students run online and on campus, in the summer or the academic year. Depending on the program, a student earns college credit or receives a Columbia University Certification of Participation and an evaluation letter. It began as the Division of Special Programs. It became the School of Continuing Education in 2002 and was renamed the School of Professional Studies in 2015.
