DEGA International Art Association

DEGA (Development and Education for Galleries and Artists) International Art Association is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2019, headquartered in Bryan/College Station, Texas, USA. The organization provides concrete resources that working artists and emerging arts organizations need to thrive. DEGA operates DEGALLERY, a physical gallery in Bryan, Texas, which has been recognized as the community's 'Best Art Gallery' (2022-2023). The gallery hosts exhibitions, workshops, and competitions for artists of all levels, from children to international professionals. Founded by Dr. Daria Penionzhkevich Dega (Dary Dega), a physician-turned-artist with a Ph.D. in Medical Sciences and a Master of Arts degree, the organization runs several programs including the annual 'Happy DEGART' International Kids Art Contest, Winter International Art Exhibition, DEGART International Grand Art Event, and free art classes for people with disabilities. The 2024 kids contest received over 1,600 artworks from 72 countries.
