About This Opportunity
Happy DEGART is an annual international kids art exhibition and contest organized by DEGA International Art Association, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Bryan, Texas. The competition is open to children aged 4 through 17 from all countries worldwide, with no geographic restrictions.
Participants are judged in four age categories: 4-7, 8-11, 12-14, and 15-17. Children can submit artwork in any medium — pencil, charcoal, watercolour, oil, pastels, mixed media, acrylic, or drawing — as long as it is original and authentic. Photographs and computer-generated works are not accepted. Each child can submit one entry only.
The contest is completely free to enter. All participants receive online diplomas sent by email and are featured in the online exhibition. Winners in each age category (1st, 2nd, 3rd, and Honorable Mentions) receive online certificates and diplomas of award. The Best of Show winner receives a physical prize, diploma, and rosette by mail, and their artwork is displayed at DEGALLERY from November to January.
The contest is judged by the Visual Art Society of Brazos Valley and DEGA International Art Association, based on original style and artistic value. The 2024 edition attracted over 1,600 artworks from 72 countries, making it one of the largest international children's art competitions.
