About

The Global Learning Council (GLC) is a non-profit foundation established in September 2014 by Dr. Subra Suresh, then President of Carnegie Mellon University. GLC operates as an interdisciplinary innovation platform connecting practitioners in education and learning with those at the cutting edge of science and technology. Reconstituted as an independent non-profit in January 2023, GLC works with partners across education, government, and industry to advance learning through technology. The organization co-founded the Global Learning Conference with Villars Institute and UNITAR. In India, GLC partners with Schoolnet India Limited to organize the EcoInnovators Ideathon, engaging thousands of school and college students in building AI-powered sustainability solutions. The organization's advisory board includes prominent Indian leaders such as Kris Gopalakrishnan (Chairman, Axilor Ventures) and S.D. Shibulal (Co-Founder, Infosys).
