About This Opportunity
The EcoInnovators Ideathon is a national innovation challenge organized by the Global Learning Council (GLC) in partnership with Schoolnet India, designed to empower school students to build technology solutions for environmental sustainability. Participants use vibe coding, a simplified approach to building applications using AI tools that requires no advanced coding knowledge, to create functional mobile or web applications addressing real-world sustainability challenges.
The school track is open to students in Grades 8 to 12 from all educational boards including CBSE, IB, and state boards. Teams of two students work through a structured three-month journey that includes AI masterclasses, mentorship sessions, and multi-stage evaluations, culminating in a grand finale at a prestigious national venue.
Winners receive cash prizes and the opportunity to present their innovations at the Villars Symposium in Switzerland. The program is supported by partners including Axilor Ventures, Pratithi Investments, IIT Madras Centre for Responsible AI, CSTEP, and Infosys Springboard.
