Horn Entrepreneurship serves as the creative engine for entrepreneurship education and advancement at the University of Delaware. It empowers aspiring innovators to pursue new ideas for a better world, helping students gain knowledge, skills, firsthand experiences, and connections needed to realize their potential and successfully adapt to rapid change. The center is committed to supporting student success and cultivating a lifelong community of collaboration, connections, and impact. Horn Entrepreneurship offers a dynamic, evidence-based curriculum that emphasizes learning by doing in real-world contexts. This approach prepares students to adapt, thrive, and lead in entrepreneurial roles within established companies, social ventures, and startups. The programs are open to all University of Delaware students, regardless of their major. The center provides a platform for students eager to make a difference, enabling them to gain experience by launching their own businesses with support from faculty, staff, and business experts. Students also receive mentoring, development assistance, industry connections, and access to funding opportunities. Since its founding, Horn-supported startups have obtained over $100 million in funding.
