Karunbithil Foundation

Karunbithil Foundation is an educational NGO dedicated to promoting and preserving Carnatic classical music. The foundation is renowned for organizing the annual 'Karunbithil Shibira', an immersive residential music camp that attracts students and maestros from across India. This annual camp, held in the serene village of Nidle, provides a unique platform for intensive learning, artistic growth, and interaction with seasoned musicians. The 'Karunbithil Shibira' offers a blend of music appreciation, lecture demonstrations, and performance opportunities. It fosters a close-knit community where participants and visiting artists collaborate and share their knowledge, contributing significantly to the Carnatic music ecosystem. The foundation aims to nurture the next generation of Carnatic musicians by instilling a deep passion for the art form. Since its inception in 2000, the foundation has successfully conducted over 20 annual Carnatic music camps, attracting over 10,000 students. The camps have hosted renowned Carnatic musicians and stalwarts, inspiring numerous youngsters to pursue music professionally.
