About This Opportunity

Karunbithil Shibira is an annual residential Carnatic music camp held in Nidle village, near Dharmasthala, Karnataka. This five to six-day camp brings together students, music lovers, and renowned Carnatic musicians from across India and abroad for an enriching experience. The primary goal is to prepare the current generation of musicians to be more receptive to the finer elements of Carnatic classical music.

The camp is open to students of Carnatic music and enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels. Participants typically range from 6 to 18 years old, with attendees from various parts of Karnataka, other Indian states, and even international locations. The camp fosters a strong community spirit, encouraging free interaction between participants and artists to create a collaborative learning environment.

Participants gain invaluable insights through daily practice sessions, interactive workshops, lecture-demonstrations, and surprise concerts. They have the unique opportunity to learn directly from and interact closely with senior musicians, enhancing their understanding and appreciation of Carnatic music.
