About
MIG Cricket Club is a Mumbai cricket institution founded in 1968 and affiliated to the Mumbai Cricket Association since 1974. The club has fielded teams in the prestigious Kanga League since 1975 and runs an in-house cricket academy focused on developing young cricketers from grassroots through to representative-level cricket. The club's academy operates two structured coaching seasons each year, a Round-the-Year camp from October to March and a Summer camp during April and May, with morning and evening batches catering to children between 7 and 20 years of age. Coaches identify talent for junior tournaments and provide match-environment exposure designed to test stamina, technique, and temperament. The institution is closely associated with the early career of Sachin Tendulkar, who trained at the ground and remains a life member; the on-ground pavilion has been named in his honour. Other senior India internationals, including Hardik Pandya, Suryakumar Yadav, Shivam Dube, and Yashasvi Jaiswal, hold honorary life memberships of the club.
