NITI Aayog (National Institution for Transforming India) serves as the Government of India's premier policy think tank. Established in 2015, it replaced the Planning Commission with a mandate to better address the evolving needs and aspirations of the Indian populace. NITI Aayog fosters cooperative federalism by integrating states into the national policy-making process. NITI Aayog's initiatives encompass the Atal Innovation Mission, National Data and Analytics Platform, Aspirational Districts Programme, and Poshan Abhiyan. These initiatives emphasize innovation, data accessibility, and socio-economic advancement. The Aayog also spearheads projects such as the Methanol Economy and the SDG Index for sustainable growth.
