Sankalp Trust is a Chennai-based registered charitable trust serving children with autism, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and specific learning disabilities. The trust runs two centres: The Learning Centre and Special Needs School at Poonamallee for autism spectrum disorder, and The Open School at Shenoy Nagar for children with specific learning disabilities. The trust is registered under the National Trust and the Commissioner for Disability, Government of Tamil Nadu, holds 12A and 80G certifications, has FCRA approval, and is authorised to conduct the two-year full-time D.Ed Spl.Ed Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities teacher training programme by the Rehabilitation Council of India. Flagship offerings span two schools, vocational programmes named PRAYAAS and BEYOND PRAYAAS, after-school remedial teaching, RCI-certified teacher training, short courses for teachers, parents and students, workshops in mainstream schools to identify learning disabilities, and therapy services across occupational therapy, speech therapy with applied behaviour analysis input and physiotherapy.
