About
Surjit Hockey Academy is a registered hockey training institution founded in memory of Olympian Surjit Singh Randhawa (1951-1984). The academy provides free, high-quality coaching to grassroots players aged 5 to 16 years, focusing on technical, tactical, and physical skill development. The coaching staff includes Olympic medallists, Dronacharya Award recipients, and NIS-trained coaches such as Olympian Rajinder Singh, Ms. Pardeep Kaur, and Mrs. Sita Devi. The training program incorporates traditional Bhangra for fitness and motivational sessions, with frequent visits from international hockey players including Olympian Manpreet Singh. Over 200 players from Jalandhar and surrounding districts currently train at the academy.
