Telluride Association is an educational nonprofit founded in 1911 by Lucien L. Nunn. Its mission is to create free educational programs that challenge young people to build community, learn together and make democratic decisions. A volunteer board of directors, the members of the Association, runs its programs with the help of its staff and academic partners. For high school sophomores and juniors it runs the Telluride Association Summer Seminar (TASS), a free summer program of seminars in the humanities and social sciences. For university students it funds houses, called Branches, at Cornell University and the University of Michigan, with room and board scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students. Its administrative offices are in its Branch houses in Ithaca, New York and Ann Arbor, Michigan.
