The Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) is the national governing body for the sport of wrestling in India. It is recognised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, and is affiliated to United World Wrestling (UWW), the global federation for the sport. WFI organises national-level championships across age categories (U15, U17, U20, U23 and Senior) in the three Olympic disciplines of Freestyle, Greco-Roman and Women's Wrestling, and conducts national selection trials to pick the wrestlers who represent India at international UWW events including the Olympic Games, Asian Games, Commonwealth Games and World Championships. It also runs the Pro Wrestling League and oversees coaching, refereeing and athlete-development pathways across its affiliated state wrestling associations.
