About This Opportunity
The 60-Day Advanced Kalari Techniques Training at Kadathanadan Kalari Sangam is a comprehensive two-month residential programme for dedicated Kalaripayattu practitioners. Held on the school's organic farm campus in Wayanad, Kerala, this is the most intensive multi-week course offered by the Sangam, designed for students committed to achieving mastery.
The programme builds advanced proficiency across all stages of Kalaripayattu. Training progresses from refined Meythari body forms through complex Kolthari wooden weapon routines and bridges into Ankathari metal weapon techniques. Daily morning and evening sessions follow a progressive structure, deepening skills across both months.
A mental conditioning component runs alongside physical training, developing the focus, discipline, and mindful awareness required for advanced weapon practice. The residential format provides full immersion in the tradition, with homecooked farm meals and guidance from K. F. Thomas Gurukkal and the school's masters throughout.
A signed completion certificate is awarded at the end of the course. Students may continue training beyond 60 days with ongoing residential arrangements if desired.
