About This Opportunity
The Berklee Electronic Music Production and Sound Design Workshop is a five-day intensive program held on the campus of Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. Designed for students aged 15 and above with a background in electronic music production, the workshop provides immersive hands-on training across the full spectrum of contemporary music production and sound design.
Participants work with Berklee faculty across daily focused sessions covering sound synthesis fundamentals, sampling techniques, sound design for film and games, modular synthesis, music production in Ableton Live, mixing and mastering, and DJ fundamentals. The program features Producer Pods: small-group sessions where participants work on their productions with direct instructor feedback and peer critique. Producer Perspective talks bring established industry professionals to share insights from real-world careers.
Students are required to bring their own laptop with a DAW installed and a MIDI keyboard. Proficiency in English is required as all instruction is in English. A background in electronic music production is recommended.
Total program cost is $2,975 USD, comprising $2,925 tuition and a non-refundable $50 registration fee. Optional on-campus housing is available at an additional $895. The workshop is part of Berklee's broader summer program offerings and draws participants from across the world.
