About This Opportunity

PM YASASVI Post-Matric Scholarship is a centrally sponsored scheme of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India. It is one of the components of the PM Young Achievers' Scholarship Award Scheme for a Vibrant India (PM YASASVI), focused on supporting students at the post-matric stage of their education.

The scholarship is open to students belonging to Other Backward Classes (OBC), Economically Backward Classes (EBC) or Denotified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes (DNT) who are studying in Class XI, Class XII or other post-matriculation courses recognised under the scheme. Applicants must hold a valid category certificate, and the total annual family income from all sources must not exceed ₹2,50,000.

Selected students may receive financial assistance of up to ₹1,25,000 per annum, depending on the course, institution and category-specific guidelines. Benefits typically include maintenance allowance, course or tuition fee support and other compulsory academic charges, disbursed through Direct Benefit Transfer to the student's Aadhaar-seeded bank account.

Applications are submitted online through the National Scholarship Portal (scholarships.gov.in) using a One-Time Registration linked to Aadhaar. Required documents include category certificate, family income certificate, previous year mark sheet, recent photograph and bank account details.

For Group 1 professional courses, the total benefit is ₹20,000 per annum. For other professional courses (Group 2), it is ₹13,000 per annum. For graduate and postgraduate courses (Group 3), it is ₹8,000 per annum, and for non-degree post-matriculation courses (Group 4), it is ₹5,000 per annum.
