About This Opportunity

Epsilon India Math Camp is an intensive 15-day residential mathematics enrichment programme for promising young mathematicians aged 9 to 13 years. The camp is run by the Raising a Mathematician Foundation (RAM Foundation) in India and draws inspiration from the highly regarded Epsilon Camp in the United States, founded in 2011 by veteran research mathematician Dr. George R. Thomas.

Epsilon India is held at Krea University in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh, and brings together approximately 40-50 students each year selected from hundreds of applications nationally and internationally. The programme is designed to meet the abilities and needs of children at the highest levels of quantitative reasoning and mathematical learning ability. Candidates are expected to demonstrate excitement about mathematics, rapid comprehension of new concepts, and deep engagement with complex problems.

The curriculum emphasises mathematical enrichment over acceleration. Students engage with advanced mathematical concepts spanning two millennia, develop critical thinking and collaboration skills, and interact with like-minded peers. Faculty includes professional mathematicians, scientists, and computer scientists from academia and industry.

Selection is based on performance on a qualifying pre-test, teacher recommendations, parent questionnaire, and an interview with the camp director. The camp also includes a parallel parent workshop, and merit-based scholarships and financial aid are available for deserving candidates.
